Abstract

This article gives an account of the way in which the Metropolitan Fund, the most important public policy instrument in Mexico in metropolitan matters, is distributed. Open data was collected, from which a descriptive analysis is made to determine its territorial distribution and a classification to identify the type of projects in which resources are spent. Three fiscal years are studied: 2014-2016, the period in which the most money has been allocated to this Fund. Among the results: a great territorial concentration of resources and the majority spending on road works.
